B/Haram: Kidnapped Victims Speak From Captivity [VIDEO]

A college lecturer and 10 other persons who were recently kidnapped by Boko Haram have called on President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to come to their rescue.

This is coming barely 24hours after the execution of four aid workers by Boko Haram.

The captives include Christians and Muslims who were abducted along the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway.

B/Haram: NAF kills ISWAP Fighters, Destroys Meetings Venue

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralised some Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters at their hideout in Kollaram on the fringes of Lake Chad in the Northern part of Borno.

NAF said the insurgents were obliterated as they assembled for a meeting at the same area.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information made this known in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being religiously biased and lopsided in his appointments.

Gov. Abiodun Reacts As Women Protest Exclusion

Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, has promised women in the state that more of them would be appointed in the State Executive Council, as well as agencies and boards.

Abiodun, who spoke following the recently released list of commissioners, said the list was not exhaustive, adding that new commissioner positions reserved exclusively for women would be unveiled shortly.

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday ordered the transfer of Soku oil field from Bayelsa State to its rightful owner, Rivers State.

Delivering judgment in a suit instituted by Rivers State, Justice Inyang Ekwo, ordered the National Boundary Commission to rectify the error in its 11th edition of Administrative Map, which designated San Bartholomew River as the boundary between the two states, instead of River Santa Barbara.
