CJN Attempting To Start Religious Crisis, Should Be Sacked

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, on Sunday called on the National Judicial Council, NJC, to sack the Chief Justice of the Federation, CJN, Tanko Muhammad for allegedly attempting to start a religious conflict in Nigeria.

HURIWA, a prominent civil rights advocacy group claimed that Tanko was attempting to instigate religious conflict in Nigeria by advocating for full Sharia law in the country’s constitution.

CBN, Banks Introduce New Measure to Boost Finances

As part of efforts to enhance financial inclusion in the country, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and banks, under the aegis of the Bankers’ Committee, have concluded plans to simplify the requirements for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) for certain types of transactions.
