Breaking: Kanu Exposes Sharia States In Nigeria

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has taken to his verified Facebook page to expose Nigerian states who no longer operate under the Nigerian constitutions and laws but have taken to the adherence of the Islamic Sharia law.

“These 12 states in Nigeria have broken away to form Sharia states and do not follow the Nigerian constitution.”

“Tell me, why can’t we have Biafra.”

Atiku Tells Nigerians What They Must Do In 2020

The 2019 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to come together and work for a better future.

Atiku urged Nigerians to stand together and fight against the issue of insecurity that bedeviled the country in the outgoing decade.

CAC: Nigerian Govt Appoints New Acting Registrar-General

The Federal Government on Tuesday appointed Hajiya Saratu Shafii as the Acting Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Mr. Moses Adaguusu, the Head of Public Affairs of the commission made this known in a statement in Abuja.

Adaguusu said Shafii’s appointment was conveyed to CAC through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

He said that until her appointment, Shafii was a Director, Incorporated Trustees Department of the commission.

The new acting registrar-general is a graduate of Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985.

The Zamfara state government has resolved to prosecute any one involved in any unlawful gathering in the state, saying that it may create another tension in the state.

Charles Ble-Goude, an ally of former Cote d’Ivoire President Laurent Gbagbo, has been sentenced in absentia to 20 years in prison by a court in Abidjan, for his role in the civil war.

The civil war followed the 2010 presidential election, his lawyers said.

Ble-Goude headed the notorious Young Patriots street militia during Gbagbo’s presidency.

Report Indicts Arts Agency Of Multi-Million Naira Scam

The Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Olusegun Runsewe, failed to explain why he spent ₦5.6 million to buy a car without certification from the agency’s transport officer and auditor.

This is one of several cases of irregularities cited by the 2017 report of the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has extended the recapitalisation deadline for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies earlier slated for June 30, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
