Nigerians Blast Customs For Dehumanising Women Over Rice

Following the video trending online, Nigerians have condemned the actions of some officers of the  Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), for dehumanising women who concealed small quantity of rice in their private parts at one of the nation’s borders.

They argued that there was no where in the Customs Excise Management (CEMA) that stated  that officers of NCS should dehumanise citizens and noncitizens over little quantity of rice  padded in their private parts by sharing the video to the public.

Anambra Workers To Get Salaries, Benefits by Dec. 15

Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra has approved the payment of salaries and allowances to civil servants in the state before Christmas.

Obiano disclosed this during the dedication of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, Agu-Awka, Awka on Sunday.

The governor, who was represented by Mr Harry Udu, Head of Service in Anambra, said this was ensure workers in the state happily celebrate the Christmas and New Year.

Petrol Truck On Fire At Alimosho, Lagos

Reports indicate that a petrol truck erupted into flames close to Gowon Estate at Alimosho, Lagos.

According to AN24, the incident happened around 6:30 am Monday, at a parking site for trucks along the road.

Lagos State Fire Service and the State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) officials have since responded to the scene of accident to combat the fire and assess damages.

Islamic Body Warns Against Killing For Ambition

An Islamic group, Jama’atu Nasir Islam (JNI), has urged the electorate to be orderly as they cast their votes, even as it warned politicians against killing since the ambition of an individual is not worth the blood of any Kogi citizen.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in Kogi State, Musa Wada, has promised to govern the state with fear of God if elected.

Part-Time Examiner Bags 20 Year Jail Term

A part-time examiner at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Olanrewaju Kayode, has bagged 20 years jail term for examination malpractice. 

According to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Kayode,was found guilty of all charge preferred against him before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, Oyo State.

PDP Strategises Ahead Of Anambra 2021 Guber Election

Key stakeholders in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra South senatorial district have met in Nnewi to strategize ahead of the 2021  governorship election.

2020 Budget: Showdown Looms In House Of Reps

A showdown is dangling over the House of Representatives following alleged allotment of constituency projects to principal officers  in the 2020 budget besides their share of votes allocated for projects in the Zonal Intervention Projects (ZIP).
