List Of Music Stars That Will Perform At AFRIMA 2019

The All African Music Awards AFRIMA is scheduled to take place on Thursday 21 November by 6pm at the Agege National Stadium, Lagos State, Nigeria.

According to the reports, artistes from the five regions in Africa will perform alongside African artistes in diaspora among others.

The organizers of the event revealed that the Agege National Stadium was chosen as venue in order to give people at the grassroots the opportunity to see their favourite artiste perform live on stage.

Border Closure: Ogoja Rice To Hit Market With Reduced Price

Santuscom Agro-Hub Investment Nigeria Limited, producer of Ogoja Rice, has said it will crash the prices of local brands as it begins harvest at its 1,000-hectare farm in Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Santuscom, Chief Paul Santus, made this known while speaking with journalists on the farm’s effort to cushion the effect of rising prices of rice domestically as a result of the closure of the land borders.

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed not to stop the group’s international diplomatic onslaught.

Mr Kanu has been propagating IPOB’s agenda through Radio Biafra in London and visits to foreign parliaments.

WAEC Releases Nov/Dec 2019 Examination Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says the results of 9,457 candidates who sat for the Second Series of its West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for (private candidates) are to be investigated before they would be released.

The council’s Head of National Office, Mr Olu Adenipekun, said this at a news conference to announce the results of candidates who participated in the 2019 WASSCE (Private).

According to him, the number of these candidates, representing 9.74 per cent are reported to have been involved in one form of examination malpractice or the other.

The Police Command in Kaduna state has confirmed the death of four persons allegedly killed by cattle rustlers at Marbar Agban in Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area.
The command`s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo confirmed the incident to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kaduna.

He said the victims; Hosea Ayuba, Ado Adamu, Abagu Danladi and Kusa Danladi of Marabar Agban, Kagoro were killed while three of their cattle were carted away.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it is set to monitor Saturday’s governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi for vote buying and selling.

Police Launch Assault Probe After HK Minister Injured

Police in London on Friday said they were investigating an assault after a Hong Kong minister fell to the ground as she was jostled by demonstrators.

Justice secretary Teresa Cheng had been due to give a lecture at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in Bloomsbury Square, central London, on Thursday evening.

But the CIArb said the event was cancelled because “whilst entering the building (Cheng) was assaulted by a crowd”. It added: “As a result, she sustained an injury to her arm.”

A policewoman, Insp Emem Okon, on Friday told an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court that a school proprietor, Timothy Onyiriuka, 45, allegedly defiled a 14-year-old student (name withheld) with special needs in his care.
