Nigerian Lady Dies After Hospital Rejects Her – Othniel

In a recent tweet, a man named Othniel Anselm narrated how a drunk driver hit his sister and her friend in a tricycle, popularly known as “Keke”, the Keke driver died immediately, however, his sister and her friend were alive and rushed to the hospital.

“The drunk driver whose birthday was on Sunday, confessed to be drunk after celebrating overnight. He survived the accident. The keke driver died on the spot.”

The two ladies were rejected in the federal hospital they rushed them to because it was not the police who brought them in.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has given assurance that Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, would be reopened before the 2020 Easter celebration.

States expended a whopping ₦4.319 trillion to fund their operations in the 2018 fiscal year, according to a survey by BudgIT, a fiscal governance organisation.

According to the survey released in Abuja yesterday, of the amount, recurrent spending gulped ₦2.67 trillion, while a paltry ₦1.648 trillion was devoted to capital projects.

Dr. Ibrahim Wakawa, Chief Medical Director (CMD), Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Maiduguri, raised the alarm at the unveiling of the Borno State Government Mental Health Strategic Implementation Plan in Maiduguri, yesterday.

Represented by Dr. Ibrahim Mshelia, a Mental Health Consultant at the hospital, Wakawa attributed the country’s high burden of mental disorders to insurgency, lack of awareness and health facilities to handle such cases.
