The Rochas Foundation has revealed that it has earmarked about ₦1billion to return out of school children to the classrooms, in a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Foundation says that since its establishment in 1998, it has aided in the education of over 20,000 orphans and other underprivileged Nigerians.

Director-General Ucy Okorocha told reporters in Abuja that over 5,737 students are in various schools across the country run by the Foundation.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) said on Wednesday that in the course of routine monitoring operations, it found dead rats, cockroaches and other pests in one of the bread factories in Abuja.

Nigeria, Wednesday in Sochi, Russia, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Russia for the modernisation, development of railway infrastructure, rehabilitation of the existing Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) rolling stock-fleet and upgrading of workshops across the country.
