Imo tops list of 2nd batch of returnees from South Africa

The federal government has said that following the profiling of the second batch of Nigerians that willingly returned from South Africa Imo state topped the list with 157 out of 314 returnees.

A statement issued Thursday by Gabriel Odu of the Media Unit of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), revealed that government had profiled all the returnees and written to various State governments affected to help re-integrate and empower them effectively as a matter of urgency.

Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) says it would group its members across the federation into cooperative societies to enable them benefit from Federal Government funding opportunities.

Alhaji Othman Ngelzarma, General Secretary of MACBAN gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.

The House Committee Chairman on Aviation, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, has lauded the offer of free airlift of the Nigerian victims of xenophobia attacks in South Africa back home by the Chairman of the Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema.

Suspected P/Harcourt ‘serial killer,’ how he killed victim

Suspected Port Harcourt serial killer Gracious David West has told the Nigerian police that he used pillowcases to tie a victim before killing her in a hotel room in Rukpokwu, about 18 kilometres from Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital city.

26-year-old West, whom the police said is a cultist, was arrested on Wednesday on East-West Road en route to Uyo from Port Harcourt.

West said in a video the Nigerian police posted to its official Twitter handle he had transactional sex with a nameless victim. Hours later, the victim was killed.
