Breaking: European Parliament invites Kanu for discussion

The European Parliament has has invited the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to discuss the Biafra’s agitation being pursued by the organisation, and the way forward for Biafra, Africa Daily News, New York gathered.

The leader of the organisation, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu happily accepted, and confirmed the invitation via his verified Facebook page@Mazi Nnamdi Kanu .

Okorocha, wife, to forfeit assets to EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has obtained orders for the interim forfeiture of assets traced to a former Imo governor, Rochas Okorocha, and his wife.

The Head, Enugu Zonal Office of the commission, Mr Usman Imam, disclosed this on Wednesday in Enugu while briefing newsmen on the activities of the commission in the last eight months.

Imam said that the commission also obtained similar order on a property traced to a former aide to Okorocha, Mr Paschal Obi, and the former governor’s daughter.

Air Peace to evacuate stranded Nigerians from South Africa

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Air Peace Airline will begin the evacuation of stranded Nigerians in South Africa as from Sept. 6 following the recent attacks on them in that country.

Mr Ferdinand Nwonye, the Spokesperson for the ministry, made this known on Wednesday in Abuja.

Nwonye said that Mr Allen Onyema, Proprietor of Air Peace Airline had volunteered to send an aircraft as from Sept. 6 to evacuate Nigerians who wish to return free of charge.
