Man divorces wife for demanding ‘bribe’ before sex

A mother of four, Mrs Risikat Adegboyega, has lost her 16-year-old marriage as an Igando Customary Court in Lagos granted the request of her husband to dissolve the union because she demanded bribe before sex.

The court President, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, held on Thursday that since the petitioner insisted on divorce in spite of interventions, the court is left with no option other than to grant his wish.

“The court hereby dissolves the marriage between Pastor Abayomi Adegboyega and Mrs Risikat Adegboyega; you henceforth cease to be husband and wife.

A 25-year-old Zimbabwean man Lonias Jojo has allegedly axed his 72-year-old father and dumped the body in a disused mine shaft to save his marriage which his dead father was against.

Jojo allegedly hatched a plan to kill his father, Luke Robert Jojo with his 18-year-old wife, Brenda Dube of Village 4 Greenspan, Chief Bvute in Mberengwa last week Thursday.

Reports say the dead man did not like his daughter in law and always insisted that his son should divorce her.

An American scientist, who disappeared a week ago on the island of Crete, Greece was found dead on Tuesday, her employers said.

Suzanne Eaton, 60, a molecular biologist at the world-renowned Max Planck Institute in Dresden, Germany, was attending a conference in the town of Chania when she was reported missing on July 2.
