Declare me winner, Atiku tells election petition tribunal

Exactly 19 days after President Muhammadu Buhari(Jubril Al-Sudani) was declared winner of the February 23 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has filed a petition challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, (Jubril Al-Sudani) at the poll.

Atiku and the PDP in the petition filed yesterday asked to be declared the winner of the election. In the alternative, he asked the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to nullify the election and order a fresh one that would be counted in line

UNN sets record of electricity generation with waste

The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has in Nigeria, set the record of electricity generation by using organic waste to install 100KVA Refuse Drived Fuel (RDF) gasification plant for its Nsukka Campus.

Prof Benjamin Ozumba, UNN Vice-Chancellor, commended the project during its inauguration and said the university would no longer be a customer to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).

According to him, the project is first of its kind in Nigeria and another feather added to the cap of the institution.

BREAKING: Court stops INEC from collating Bauchi results

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to discontinue collation and announcement of Bauchi governorship results.

Koffi Olomide gets two years in prison for rape

International music star, Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba a.k.a. Koffi Olomide was given a two years suspended jail sentence in absentia by a court in France for raping a 15 year-old girl.

This sentence means that the 62 year-old music composer, producer and singer faces an arrest if he commits further offenses, according to BBC. The graduate of Business Economic and pioneer of the soukous genre was order by the court to pay a fine of 5,000 Euros ($5,700; £4,300) in damages to the former dancer.

FG to sieze property of Yar’adua, others worth ₦4.8bn -ICPC

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has made arrangements to seize plots of land and buildings valued at N4.8 billion from the  Shehu Yar’adua Foundation and 29 other firms.

ICPC Spokesperson, Mrs Rasheedat Okoduwa disclosed this in a Press Statement in Abuja.

She said that the properties included 22.9 hectares of undeveloped land, one plaza, and a block of six two-bedroom flats located in Wuse, Zone 1, Abuja.

President Trump tweets

The President found a lot to be upset about over the weekend, and he took to Twitter to make sure everyone knew.

Governor Obiano was massively and overwhelmingly voted in by Ndi Anambra state.
Ndi Anambra only wanted someone that would continue from where Obi stopped; though they knew the big shoe Obi was leaving behind would be hard to fill.

Expectations were very high, as we were already used to good governance, because we had the best of it under Former Governor Peter Obi, and the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate in the just concluded 2019 elections.
