Oyo House of Reps member shot dead in Ibadan
The member representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, was shot dead in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital during the election on Saturday.
He died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. He was confirmed dead by the Head of Public Relations of the hospital, Mr Toye Akinrinlola, at 8:20 pm.

Election: Two murdered in Amaechi’s maternal home
Two persons were shot dead in Ubimini in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, the maternal home of the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.

Fayose loses polling unit, ward to APC
Former Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state on Saturday failed to deliver his polling unit and ward in his hometown Afao Ekiti in Irepodun Ifelodun local government area of the state to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) swept the ward in the House of Assembly election.
At Fayose’s unit at St David’s Primary School , the APC candidate in Irepodun/Ifelodun constituency (2), Alhaji Hakeem Jamiu, polled 168 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Sunday Omosilade, who got 26 votes.

Jubril, Buhar’s Impostor delivers unit to APC Candidates
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday delivered his polling unit 003, Kofar Baru III (A and B) Daura, Katsina State, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the state, Aminu Masari, with 370 votes.
The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Lado Danmarke, scored 33 votes to come second at the polling unit.
The result of the State House Assembly at the unit indicated that the APC candidate for the Daura constituency, Nasir Yahaya, got 336 as against 40 votes scored by Lawal Husseini, the PDP candidate.

Poll: Two killed in Ondo over alleged ballot box snatching
Two persons were reportedly killed on Saturday in political mayhem at Oba-Akoko,headquarters of Akoko Southwest local government area of Ondo state.
Sources alleged that some hoodlums had stormed the community to snatch ballot boxes which led to youths rampage where properties worth millions of naira destroyed including police station and police vehicles.

No fewer than seven people were feared killed in Rivers State Saturday as low voter turnout marred elections in the state.
This is as Governor Nyesom Wike said he was sure of victory at the polls despite attempts to manipulate the elections.

Kwara APC governorship candidate Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has won his Idigba polling unit 004 of Adewole Ward with a landslide.
AbdulRazaq polled 592 votes as against PDP’s 80, according to the official result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The APC also won the House of Assembly election with 573 votes as against PDP’s 80.

BREAKING: Oyo: Ajimobi loses polling unit to PDP
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
Mr Ajimobi, who lost the National Assembly election to return to the Senate two weeks ago, cast his vote at about 1.10 pm at Oluyole Community Grammar School, Oluyole, Ibadan.
APC polled 112 while PDP polled 149 in the governorship election.

44 policemen in auto crash in Abuja
The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed 44 of its operatives were involved in autocrash on Friday while they were on their way for election duties.
According to the Police, the accident occurred in Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.
