Revealed! Plan to disrupt Rivers Governorship Election

NDDC, Ministry of Transportation relaese 3 billion naira for Rivers APC illegal protests 

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Ministry of Transportation have jointly released ₦3 billion for the funding of 4-day protests by the Rivers APC against the conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly elections.

The funds are for the hiring of thugs, sponsorship of army and SARs violence, illegal protests and manipulation of INEC field staff.

The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi obtained the approval which compelled the NDDC and his ministry to fund the protests.

I have learnt to be neutral, but very firm and objective when it has to deal with ethnicity and bashing of a particular ethnic group.

My reasons are not far fetched:
Nigeria is a very volatile place, and you can’t condemn a whole people just by the action of a handful of their likes.
Even when the majority of that particular people are saying the same thing, there are a percentage of that people who hold a different view.

44 passengers escape death as bus catches fire

No fewer than 44 passengers escaped unhurt on Monday as a red high capacity bus marked GBE 257 XA caught fire on Otedola Bridge in Lagos.

BREAKING: Emefiele still in office, says CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed claims that the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele has been sacked.

Responding to enquiries from The Nation on Monday, the Director Corporate Communications of the CBN Mr. Isaac Okorafor told The Nation that “the governor is in his office working. I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Another official of the CBN also told The Nation Correspondent that “there is nothing like that, the governor is here, his tenure expires in June.

The Jamaatu Nasril Islam (JNI) and Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) have called on the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to accept the result of last Saturday’s elections in good faith.

Thugs Attack Dankwambo’s convoy, burn 2 cars, Radio Station

Thugs have attacked the convoy of the  Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, and set two cars among the entourage ablaze.

The Director of Media of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council in the state, Mr. Dahiru Kera, confirmed this to journalists yesterday.

According to him, the thugs attacked the governor’s convoy on his way from the airport, adding that two cars in the entourage were burnt.

Meanwhile, the thugs also attacked a Lafiyawo community in the state, destroying a private radio station, Progress FM, located along Gombe Airport Road.

Eight shops were burnt down in the community.
