I have tried to refrain myself from going frontal on Mbaka as regards his insults, apologies and renewed insults on the person of Mr.Peter Obi, the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate in the just concluded elections but his recent mockery on Atiku/Obi for losing the elections has drawn me out.

I therefore stand on the popular Igbo maxim of “asokata eze anya, ekpue nkata n’iru gwa ya okwu” to state that it’s time to look at the king straight to the eye and tell him his ailment.

2019 Cabinet Dissolution: Scramble for appointments begin

Following a hint by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, that President Muhammadu Buhari might dissolve his cabinet before his May 29 terminal date, jostle for ministerial appointments by outgoing and prospective ministers have begun, THISDAY learnt last night.

Hoodlums slash off 19-year-old boy’s ear at political rally

Hoodlums in Bauchi went on rampage during a political victory rally leaving several innocent residents injured including a 19-year old boy whose ear was cut off.

The victim, Muhammad Harisu on Wednesday lost his left ear as a result of an attack by suspected political thugs during a rally organised by supporters of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State capital to celebrate their victory in the last Presidential and National Assembly election.

Lagos APC disowns Senator Afikuyomi

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned Sen. Tokunbo Afikuyomi, saying he is not a member of the party in the state, but a member of the Accord Party.

The party said the clarification was necessary in view of Afikuyomi’s activities to undermine the APC in Lagos.

It claimed that his activities were targeted at promoting opposition politicians in the process leading to the governorship election.

In a statement signed by the APC’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Joe Igbokwe, the party said it was aware of Afikuyomi’s activities and his pretension of being an APC member.…

APC suspends Governors Amosun and Okorocha

The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended governor of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosu and governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha over anti-party activities.

The NWC also recommended the expulsion of the governors from the party to the national executive committee (NEC) of APC, after a meeting on Friday in Abuja.

Amosun and Okorocha have openly backed gubernatorial candidates different from APC’s candidate in their respective states. The preferred candidates of both governors lost the APC primaries in their states.

CAN warns El-Rufai over threat to demolish Dunamis churches

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State has cautioned Governor Nasir el-Rufai over his threat to demolish Dunamis churches in the state, saying Christians will resist any attempt to persecute them.

A protest by CAN came on the heels of an official letter from Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency (KAPSUDA) asking the church to provide details of its operation in the state.

Acting general manager of KAPSUDA, Fatima Bambale, in a letter No. PS/14/PP/ZIII/20, 624/ VOL.I/0 entitled ‘Update of Religious Institutions within the State’, stated: “I am directed to request you to furnish the agency with your
