ExxonMobil allegedly denying Nigerians job offers

There are allegations that ExxonMobil may have resorted to anti-labour practices aimed at drastically excluding Nigerians from core activities in the company.

Sources alleged that the intention was to make the company a complete foreign firm in spite of its joint partnership agreement.

In fact, there are allegations that the company has resorted to activities that have continued to quietly eliminate its Nigerian employees and replacing them with hoards of new imports in disregard to Nigeria’s existing laws and development guidelines, thereby subjecting more Nigerians to premature job losses.

The campaign rally which ended in chaos following the way, Ogun people pelted Jubril, and the dignitaries that occupied him.

Babachir Lawal docked over ₦272 million grass-cutting deal

ABUJA—Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday, docked former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, before an Abuja High Court at Maitama, following his alleged complicity in ₦272 million contract fraud.

Lawal, whose arraignment came about two years after he was accused of illegally diverting a contract the Presidential Initiative for North-East, PINE, awarded for the removal of grasses in Internally Displaced Persons, IDP, camps, to his own company, pleaded not guilty to the 10-count criminal charge the EFCC preferred against him.

Bloody clash at APC campaign rally in Ekiti

Ado-Ekiti—Scores of supporters of All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party sustained various degree of injuries during a bloody clash at a campaign rally in Omuo Ekiti, headquarters of Ekiti East Local government area of Ekiti State. The incident was said to have occurred when members of the APC were said to be holding a joint rally for the senatorial candidate in Ekiti South District, Prince Dayo Adeyeye and the House of Representatives candidate in Ekiti South Federal Constituency, Femi Bamisile, Monday evening, when the suspected PDP thugs invaded the rally and launched attacks on them.
